Education Pillar

Activities:

. Provide training for School PTAs in their roles and responsibilities to monitor student-teacher learning interaction in the classrooms.

. Provide comprehensive school support for underserved students.

. Provide training for community health structures( CHA, CHV & HFDC)

. Monitor government donated drugs at health facilities for accountability

. Do awareness on teenage pregnancy, STD, STI etc

Activities:

. Establishment of districts land advocacy group to advocate for women and youth land ownership.

. Creating awareness on the existence of the specialized sexual offense court in the County

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Liberia has agreed a partnership with the Efficient Research and Development Institute (ERDI) Inc. to implement the Strengthening the Rule of Law in Liberia: Justice and Security for the Liberian People Programme. Under this partnership, ERDI will strengthen the capacity of women-led CSOs to form network and monitor the efficiency of the Criminal Court E as well as provide legal aid and psychosocial support to victims and survivors of SGBV in Nimba County, Liberia.


Education

Under its Education program ‘Vulnerable Student Scholarship Program (VSSP)’, the Efficient Research and Development Institute (ERDI) with funding from the Moth. Sarah Williams Gardea Scholarship Foundation based in the US has identified and provided 100% scholarship support including tuitions, admission fees, and academic materials such as uniform, book bags, shoes, copy books, and the likes to 10 primary school students in Nimba County, Liberia.

The first set of supplies were provided April 27, 2021 with more support to come soon.  This phase which is a pilot intervention will be extended to hundreds of students in other rural counties of Liberia. Special courtesy to Mr. McDonald Gardea.


Health Care

ERDI staff (Leroy K.L Gweh) provides hygiene promotion knowledge and skills to young mothers and  their children in Ganta, Nimba County amidst COVID-19 under ERDI’s Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) Initiative.

Health Care Services

ERDI provides it’s office facilities to the Ministry of Health for free and voluntary COVID-19 testing in Rural Liberia.


Social Welfare and Gender Issues

ERDI Executive Director, Mr. Daniel Nya Gboe speaks to cross section of women on holistic support for women and girls and the ardent need to prevent sexual and gender-based violence at the launch of the Project: Supporting Women-Led Initiative to Enhance the Fight against Coronavirus Disease in Liberia.
